Colonel John Fox's Regiment of Foote

Oatlands Village Fayre 14 May 2000

All pictures on this page taken by Tracy Dean.

Winchester's marching away through the woods just before the skirmish started.

Winchester's best side, at least from the point of view of an outnumbered Parliamentarian pike division!

John Cass (in green - obviously a closet Fox) explaining the plan (yes there was a plan) to Tarty Steve (mit flag) and the boys in the pike division just before we go forward to get massacred. Muttley has the drum.

Nigel telling the musketeers which way to fire. Pity about the cars in the background.

Musketeers shooting their comrade in the back? What do you expect with Paul Meekins in the division?

Us lined up in the shade while Winnie's sweat bits of themselves off in the sun next to the crowd line.

Huzzah for Tarty and the flag! All the excitment was obviously too much for a couple of the chaps in the front rank who have had to have a wee lie down.

Here we go! Here we go! Here we go!

Getting stuck in at point.

All too much, back we go to the shade of the woods.

Damn! They're following us.

The aftermath, defeated our Colour is taken and officers captured.
